International Fertility Alliance & Unica Clinic Host Expert Congress in Prague: Key Insights from the Latest Advances in Reproductive Medicine

At the end of March, Prague served as the gathering place for reproductive medicine specialists at a congress co-hosted by Unica Clinic and the International Fertility Alliance. During this event, the latest trends in infertility treatment were presented, and experiences from daily clinical practice were shared. The program provided a platform for open, expert discussions on topics that significantly influence fertility care and reproductive health today.

The congress also highlighted the importance of connecting professionals across fields and sharing experiences, which enhances the quality of patient care.

Key Topics in Current Practice

The congress agenda offered a comprehensive, interdisciplinary perspective on fertility issues. Discussions focused on the prevention and early diagnosis of infertility, which is now considered a key factor in successful treatment. A significant portion of the congress was dedicated to gynecological and endocrine conditions, which can significantly impact reproductive health for both women and men.

The conversations continued to explore a more holistic view of couple fertility, increasingly emphasizing the need to consider both partners and the importance of male and female factors. There were also discussions about care for patients after successful conception, emphasizing the continuity of care even after achieving a desired pregnancy.

Overall, the event stressed not only medical aspects but also the broader context of treatment—ranging from psychological support to a personalized approach for each patient.

Experts Share Clinical Practice Insights

An integral part of the program consisted of lectures by leading experts who shared their experiences from daily clinical practice and provided insights into current approaches to infertility treatment.

Representing Unica Clinic, Dr. Ondřej Bačík and Dr. Tomáš Koukal discussed modern methods and individualized approaches in reproductive medicine.

The program was further enriched by contributions from colleagues at Eurofertil – Dr. Michaela Tomanová and Dr. Richard Lachčina, Reproclinic’s medical director Dr. Alicia Saborit, as well as Dr. Jan Jiskra, Ph.D., Dr. Vladimír Baláž, Dr. Michal Jelšík, and Ing. Ivan Maštalíř

The event was overseen by Dr. Radovan Turyna, Ph.D., whose expert leadership and insightful lecture contributed to the success of the congress.

Each speaker brought a unique perspective and valuable experience, leading to an inspiring and professionally enriching discussion. The diversity of approaches and openness to sharing was one of the main highlights of the meeting.

Special thanks also go to the event’s partners, Gedeon Richter and IBSA, for their role in making the congress a high-quality, expert-level event.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all the speakers and participants for their active involvement and for sharing their expertise. We deeply appreciate the opportunity to be part of an expert platform that fosters knowledge exchange and discussions about current approaches in reproductive medicine.

Meetings like this contribute to the ongoing development of the field and the enhancement of the quality of care provided to patients.
